I have gained valuable insight beyond my own education and experience as a result of having been in this programme. I took part for 10 months and attending the group mentor sessions 1 Saturday for 10 months. My mentor David Brien was as much committed to the mentor sessions and gave me the support and guidance I needed as a start up business. Having been on this programe has truly inspired and guided me. I took it upon myself to make sure that the programe was designed primarily for my benefit, this I did by taking initiative and scheduling meetings with my mentor outside the group session so that the sessions were more personalized for my business needs as a mentee. The benefits of this extended far beyond what I had planned. NYDA supported me with a voucher for my business strategy and this was a result of my mentor having seen the drive, commitment and passion that I have to succeed as an entrepreneur. Having been a part of this has given me access to a support system during the critical stages at inception of my business, direct access to powerful resources within the entrepreneurial business space and the foundation of a lasting professional support system.
