The Fabulous Woodstock StarLites is a minstrel organization that stemmed from the traditional minstrels association of 1907. The organization practices the minstrel art and culture passed from generation to generation, originating from the slaves of the Cape of Good Hope.

Growth in the minstrels sector has increased ten-fold over the years resulting in multiple business interest- spin-offs, especially in the tourism industry. However, the organization does not benefit financially directly from the activities and events, which means that they need to work harder to sustain the culture and traditions larger than life experience.

After many negotiations, the minstrel sector inclusive of Fabulous Woodstock Starlites, succeeded in engaging the provincial government and the City of Cape Town Municipality in their activities.

The organization has transformed into an association of professional standards, which includes: gender equality, accountability and inclusivity of communities.

The Fabulous Woodstock Starlites organization assists underprivileged children, by teaching them music notation skills, as well as instrumental knowledge that could be useful in the music field.

The Minstrel group is available for events, film-shoots and other special occasions.
